WELLFILL

Standard Disposal

Abandoned mines are suitable for the placement of radioactive solid wastes.  Usually, compressed or incinerated wastes are packaged in 55 gallon concrete or metal encased drums and gated into the main mine.

Disadvantage

This type of disposal requires expensive transportation, guarded territory and is not accessible for repair.

Wellfill Using Kalmatron KF-αβγ

KF-αβγ is a light gray powder.  When mixed with a standard concrete mix, it provides the best material for pouring into wells with targeted protection from penetration of radiation and liquid.

Due to the ability of KF-aby to isolate the environment from radiation and provide liquid impermeability, wells can be used to deposit radioactive wastes.  This type of dumping is inexpensive and can also be done by excavating 50 foot mines near and in industrial areas.

A boneyard of uranium-contaminated scrap.

Removing depleted uranium products.
