KALMATRON KF-aßy SHOTCRETE/STUCCO These pictures depict the typical deterioration of concrete and masonry water-cooling facility structures by the radioactively contaminated water.
The reason for this water contamination is not established. In accordance with the project requirements, all three cooling loops are separated (see below).
This is the water cooling pool at the end of
the Third Loop of the Nuclear Plant with a pressurized water
reaction system. The concrete is severely deteriorated and has
lost it’s targeted resistance to radiation.
This picture shows concrete protected with a KF-αβγ layer. The surfaces used were selected because they showed the most extreme readings. The final surface of the KF-αβγ layer is painted in accordance with specific regulations. The superficial compressive strength is 350 Kg/cm2.
There is an as-yet unestablished source of radiation behind this off-shore wall. After numerous probes and readings, the structure is being prepared for coating with a layer of KF-αβγ. |
