APPLICATION
METHODS
KF-aby can be used in
many ways, depending upon your needs:
Strewn Powder
Can be applied by strewing the powdered KF-aby onto/into the
source of radiation. This application is often used in
areas difficult to access. Simply mix KF-aby powder with
the relic, or with the radioactive dust, sand, ash, etc., to
suppress radiation.

Shotcrete/Stucco
After mixing 4 parts KF-aby with 1 part water, by volume, it
is applicable by plaster technology with safety levels the
same as for cement/concrete jobs. It is also pumpable
using standard shotcrete equipment onto walls, floors,
ceilings, beams and columns. |

KALMATRON®
KF-aby is a cementitious powder, with a dry density
of 2,500 Kg/m3 and a wet density of 3,500 Kg/m3,
which has been designed for attenuation of alpha (a), beta
(ß) and gamma (y) radiation. KF-aby was developed for
deactivation of contamination, restoration of the radiation
attenuation of building structures, and for suppressing the
courses of radiation and other radioactive
contamination. KF-aby is applicable as a coating,
admixture to concrete mix, and by strewing on or into the
source of radiation. |
